FAQ
Common questions, short answers.
Does the server need the mod too?
Yes. Many features are decided by the server - loot, stack sizes, protection, recipes - so the server and every player need it, on the same version. See Server owners.
Does it work in singleplayer?
Yes. Your game is its own server then, so every option is yours to choose.
How do I turn a feature off?
Click the yellow [ SAFE HAVEN ] button on the main menu, find the option, switch it off, save and restart the game. Options marked [S] are the server's: on someone else's server, theirs count. More in Getting started.
I changed a setting and nothing happened.
Restart the game - changes take effect on the next start. If it is an [S] option and you play on someone else's server, the server's own setting is the one that counts.
A feature from the list doesn't work on my server.
Some features start off and only work once the server owner turns them on, and the owner can switch any of the others off. Also check that you and the server run the same version.
The mod updated, but my server still behaves like the old version.
The server needs the new version too. If it has it and still acts old, there are probably several Safe
Haven QOL jars in its mods folder - delete all but the newest and restart.
How to check.
A key does something else for me than this site says.
Your game remembers the keys it had from an older version. Check Settings > Controls, where every key can be changed. The default keys.
Which languages does it speak?
11, following the language you pick in the game. The translations were made with the help of AI.
Where do I report a bug or suggest an idea?
Leave a comment on the Steam Workshop page. For a bug, say what you did, what happened, and which version you play.
